- reminding us that Jesus Christ is here in the community
- a sacred space where we meet God in silence and in worship
- which resonates holiness.
- a centre of care, where the sick are healed and sinners (and that's all of us) find forgiveness.
- where everyone is welcome
- where worship is deeply serious and meeting others is great fun.
- a church from which we are sent out in God's power to share his love and good news with all we meet.
- where the community gathers to mark important stages of life and
- an outstanding Grade I architectural gem.

Unfortunately it is still not possible to open the armoury to visitors because of its enclosed space
For facilities, and how to find the church, please see 'Where we Are'

Stowmarket Foodbank
We continue to work with Stowmarket Churches Together, alongside some local businesses and the Council to support the Stowmarket Foodbank, which provides emergency food parcels for people experiencing crisis in and around Stowmarket throughout the year.
There are two red boxes in St Mary's Mendlesham near the porch door for people to contribute dried and canned foods, plus tea, coffee and toiletries. Volunteers work with local organisations to identify individuals and families who can benefit. It is good to know that many people in the village are giving regularly so that the boxes fill rapidly. Please continue to donate to this worthwhile project. To read more about the work of the Stowmarket Foodbank and the items urgently needed this week click here |
