1.
Do not reckon with your own strength and resources –
they will not suffice.
Reckon  with God,
with  His strength and resources,
and you will discover that they will always suffice for you.

2.
When all your hopes are shattered,
when people disappoint you;
remember there is someone who will never disappoint you –Someone who will love you to the very end –
and  that is Jesus.

3.
Always live in the knowledge that Jesus is present.
The assurance of His presence will change everything
and your sadness will disappear.

4.
How God will transform my troubles I do not know,
but that He WILL transform them I know for sure.

5.
Let nothing disturb you, let nothing frighten you.
All things pass away, God never changes.
Patience obtains all things.
He who has God finds he lacks nothing;
God alone suffices.
                                                                     St Teresa

6.
There are no impossible situations –
only people who have become impossible about them.

7.
God is Love.
All the paths He leads you on,
even the darkest ones,
will end in glory.
Keep your eyes fixed on this goal
and your heart will be strengthened
and immersed in joy.

8.
Do not look forward to  what might happen tomorrow.
The same everlasting  Father who cares for you today
will take care of you  tomorrow and every day.
Either He will shield  you from suffering
or He will give you  unfailing strength to bear it.
Be at peace and put aside all  anxious thoughts and imaginings.

                                          St Francis de Sales

9.
Lord, you are the sole  Master of the future:
keep us from despair  and the fear of what is to come.

10.
Stand firm now and  persevere even if hardship is great.
God has already  planned the moment when He will help you.
11.
Trust Him when dark  doubts attack you,
trust Him when your  strength is small.
Trust Him, when simply  to trust Him
is the hardest thing  of all.
Trust Him – He is ever  faithful,
trust Him, for His  will is best.
Trust Him – for the  heart of Jesus
is the only place to  rest.
Trust Him, then,  through doubt and sunshine,
all your cares upon  Him cast
‘til the storms of  life are over
and your trusting days  are past.

12.
Lord, give me courage  when things go wrong;
strengthen me with  faith in You,
with hope in Your  promises
and with love of Your  will.

13.
Trust God implicitly.
If you are united with Him,
nothing can harm you.

14.
Love Jesus and you will experience that  love,
for Jesus is the strongest power of all.
It will enable you to overcome all  hardships.

15.
Jesus loves you like a friend.
He holds out His hand to you...
Give Him yours.

16.

Even if we lose everything else,
there is something we cannot lose:
Jesus Christ.
If you have Him,
you have everything you need
in the midst of trouble and anxiety.

17.
Never tire of battling in faith,
for Satan is ever ready to attack.
The moment you no longer want to fight him, you are lost.

18.
‘Do not be afraid or discouraged,

for I, the Lord God,

am with you wherever you go.’               (Joshua 1 v 9)

19.
When you say a situation or a person is hopeless,
you are slamming a door in the face of God
                                    (Charles L. Allen)

20.
The only situation which is truly tragic
is not to try and fail,
but to fail to try.

21.
If your faith cannot move mountains,
it ought to try, at least, to climb them.
                                (E C McKenzie)

22.
God, grant me the courage
not to give up what I think is right,
even though I think it is hopeless.
                                Admiral Nimitz

23.
There is no saint without a past
and no sinner without a future.

24.
Hatred does more damage to the person in whom it is stored
than the person on whom it is poured.

25.
Forgiveness saves the expense of anger,
the high cost of hatred
and the waste of energy.
                            (E C McKenzie)
26.
If a person wrongs you
forgive that person,
lest there be two bad people.

27.
Jesus did not come to do away with suffering
or to remove it.
He came to fill it with His presence.

28.
The value of persistent prayer
is not that God will finally hear us,
but that we will finally hear God.
                                (William McGill)

29.
Always forgive your enemies.
Nothing annoys them so much.

30.
All shall be well...
And ll shall be well...
And all manner of thing shall be well.
                          (Dame Julian of Norwich)
31.
He alone has a right to despair
whose sins are as great as the mercy of God.
                                                    (St Augustine of Hippo)
